20001026: NetCDF-Perl-1.2.1 "make test" failure

The last line above would seem to indicate that a "make" had not been
previously done.  A "make test" tests the netcdf-perl package that has
just been created.  Was a "make" done before the "make test"?  Does the
file "perl/blib/arch/auto/NetCDF/NetCDF.so" exist?
