I don't have access to an IRIX 6.2 system, so 'll need more information
Iin order to diagnose the problem. Would you please do the following:

    1. Go to the top-level source directory.

    2. Send me the file "VERSION".

    3. Send me the output from the command "which cc".

    4. Execute the command "make distclean".

    5. Set your environment variables as before.

    6. Execute the configure script. Redirect standard output and standard
error to the file "configure.log" and send me the file.

    7. Send me the file "config.log".

    8. Execute the command "make". Redirect standard output and standard
error to the file "make.log" and send me the file.
