The McBASI script is designed to expect/require that the various channels needed to do the composite are from an ADDE dataset where the channels are specified using the BAND= keyword. The script could be modified to use individual bands directly, but this would take a bit of work. The ADDE datasets that I listed in my previous reply all make the individual files look like they come from multibanded imagery.
