[McIDAS #KGO-649559]: Global Composite Script

Hi,

re:

No, we don't have one.

The easiest/most straightforward way to combine images is to:

- choose an appropriate output projection

The most common is to use a RECTilinear projection.

- decide on which portion of each satellite is best included in
  the composite

For example, when compositing GOES-East and West images, it is
best to chop off the portion of each that is better represented
  by each, etc.

- use the IMGREMAP command to combine the pieces

- potentially use the IMGCHA command to fix-up various parameters
  in the resultant image

Out of curiosity, which satellites are you looking to composite, and
which wavelength channels from each are you interested in?

Cheers,

Tom
