[McIDAS #RCY-484528]: McIDAS-X 2017 installation on ubuntu16.04

Thanks.

The 'printenv' output shows that the problem is (once again) being caused
by you installing McIDAS in /home/mcidas/mcidas<ver> (e.g., 
/home/mcidas/mcidas2017)
and not the directory that it is designed to be installed in, /home/mcidas.
I forget why you are doing things this way, can you remind me?
