Hi Mike,
First, a _very_ quick comment that is not intended to provoke much of
a discussion:
I have just IMGLISTed and IMGDISPed all 16 channels from the most recent
Full Disk images received on NOAAPort, stitched together using Ryan's latest
ldm-alchemy script, and served off of lead.unidata.ucar.edu with _no_ problems.
Here is the textual output shown for the test I ran (note the use of
defining a string and then using REPEAT to run the command successively
while changing an option via '!1'):

I just touched base with Ryan... his git push went to a different repository
earlier. He just pushed the change up to GitHub. And, yes, it is

This is not happening for me on my development system or on lead which
should be running the same code as you. I don't know what to say!?
Perhaps your ADDE dataset definition is mucked up?

You should be able to grab the newly modified ldm-alchemy from GigHub.
And, you should revert your ADDE dataset definitions back to what they
were.

No worries. Please let me know if you continue to have the weird segmentation
violation problem. Again, I am not experiencing this!
By the way, it looks like they fixed the black pixel problem in the SCMI
images distributed as tiles in NOAAPort.
