[McIDAS #GXX-371849]: self-contained McIDAS-X executable for OS X 12.x (Sierra)

Hi Alex,

It has been my experience that the primary cause for Unidata McIDAS-X
build failures have been caused by the user doing the build not
setting up their environment before attempting the build. What I
am referring to is presented in:

Preparing the mcidas Account
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/mcidas/current/users_guide/PreparingthemcidasAccount.html

To see where you are with preparations needed before attempting a
build, please send me the output of 'env' (a dump of your environment)
in the environment in which you are attempting the build.

The other thing that I want to let you know about is I re-checked SSEC's
information about which MacOS-X environments they fully support, and I
saw that they are still supporting OS X 10.11 and macOS 10.12. Not being
a Mac guy, I do not know for sure if 10.12 is the OS version you are running
or if there really is a macOS 12. I will check with the Mac guys here in
the office to be better educated on this subject.

Again, I would like to better understand what your environment is
for your McIDAS-X build.

Cheers,

Tom
