[McIDAS #VSG-323612]: Navigation error when plotting image beyond a certain dimension

OK, I understand what you are trying to do.  Unfortunately, I know of no
remedy for your problem except to either blow down the image (like you
noted you did); plot surface data over the blown down image; and then
save the result as a GIF.
