[McIDAS #ZDY-398309]: Help!

I am afraid that your assertions are not sufficient to allow us to grant you
access to Unidata McIDAS.  Given the SSEC position on who can be allowed to get
Unidata McIDAS, you need to be able to affirm _ALL_ of the following:

1) you are accessing McIDAS from Unidata for use in a university; please provide
   the name of the department and university that the download is intended for
2) McIDAS must be used for academic classroom instruction or academic research
   by students related to obtaining a degree
3) your installation of McIDAS is not for use by a government agency, 
non-academic
   research institute, or private concern
4) you agree that you will not re-distribute any portion of the software

If you can not meet all of these conditions, you will need to get McIDAS 
directly
from UW/SSEC:

This is the email for the McIDAS Users Group (MUG) at UW/SSEC.  They will be
able to walk you through the procedure for getting McIDAS from SSEC.

The only other way that you would be granted access to Unidata McIDAS under
the licensing agreement between SSEC and Unidata is if you were a member
in good standing of the MUG.

I apologize for this hassle!  If I had my way, we would be able to offer
Unidata McIDAS-X to all.
