[ldmMcidas #WTM-677712]: McIDAS-XCD data doesn't seem to be filing

Hi Samuel,

I apologize for not being able to get back to you last Friday, but Friday was
the second day of the Unidata Users Committee meeting...

re:
> O.K. I found a way to get statdisp to look good,

Presumably you ended up (correctly) defining the environment variable
XCD_disp_file so that DECOSTAT.DAT can be found?

> but I am still getting nothing with 'gribadmin latest'. Can you help?

First, we must make sure that the GRIB filer DMBIN was built with MySQL support.
If it was, we must insure that your McIDAS environment was setup to run DMBIN
to process the GRIB messages available in the IDD HRS (and possibly NGRID)
datastream(s).

Please send back the outputs of the following:

<login as 'mcidas'>

env

cd ~mcidas/mcidas2007/src
-- look through 'makelog' for the part that lists information about
   dmbin.k. Send me that portion of 'makelog'

pushd $MCDATA
decinfo.k LIST

redirect.k LIST

<as 'ldm'>

env

-- send me the contents of ~ldm/etc/ldmd.conf
-- send me the contents of:

   ~ldm/etc/pqact.conf
   ~ldm/etc/pqact.conf_mcidasA
   ~ldm/etc/pqact.conf_mcidasB

cat `which xcd_run`

crontab -l

I think that is all I will need, but there is a possibility I will ask
for more information depending on what I see from the output from the
various commands above.

Cheers,

Tom
