20000324: Unidata GINI ADDE server code (cont.)

Notice that Dave S's comment is how we can sponsor you: NCAR/RAP.  This
sponsorship is not needed at all since NCAR is part of UCAR and we are all
entitled to use McIDAS under the Unidata contract with SSEC.  What is
important is whether or not SSEC feels that there is a problem in us
(through you) providing the US Army with McIDAS ADDE code.  From the
little snippit above, I do not feel "warm and fuzzy" about whether or not
Dave S really understood this.

You, NCAR/RAP, can get the full distribution anytime you like.  I am
including the letter I send to sites when they ask for the information
on how to get the code.  If you feel like you don't want to get and
install the entire package (it is pretty large), then I can:

o easily put together binaries of the routines that you would need and
  help you setup the GINI ADDE server configuration

o with a lot more difficulty put together a source distribution of just
  what is needed

I would much rather not have to do the latter.  The former option is
an easy one if the machines you use are in the list of supported
platforms.  Please let me know which option you want to pursue and
I will get on it.  If you want binaries, please let me know what
your target platform is (manufacturer, OS version, compiler versions,
etc.).
