Dear Sirs, I am installing McIDAS 7.6 on a Redhat 6.0 Linux system for the Physics department at the University of Kansas. I have the same problem as described in http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/packages/mcidas/mcidas_main.html#support. According to my makelog, I seemed to have compiled convdlm successfully. But convdlm seemed to fail to convert the dlm files. ########################################## Tue Mar 14 14:27:38 CST 2000: BUILD BEGIN ########################################## ./mccomp -O -I. -I../netcdf/libsrc -c convdlmc.c gcc -c -O -ansi -D_GNU_SOURCE -I/usr/X11R6/include -O -I. -I../netcdf/libsrc convdlmc.c compile convdlmc.c: done ./mccomp -O -I. -I../netcdf/libsrc -c convdlmf.f mcfc -c -O -I. -I../netcdf/libsrc convdlmf.f convdlmf.f: convdlm: nchars: len_trim: compile convdlmf.f: done . . . compile woablk.for: done ./mcar libmcidas.a dblg.o dnvblk.o indexx.o nvsyd.o rblg.o wblg.o wnvblk.o woablk.o update libmcidas.a: done ./convdlm mdxgra.dlm convdlm mdxgra.dlm: FAILED ---------------------------------------- I have installed the following compilers and libraries in my system: ecgs 1.1.2-12, egcs-c++ 1.1.2-12, ecgs-g77 1.1.2-12, egcs-objc 1.1.2-12, cpp 1.1.2-12, glibc 2.1.1-6 libc 5.3.12-31. Since there is no f2c in Redhat 6.0, I installed f2c 19970805-3 and fort77 1.14a-14 from Redhat 5.1 distribution. What can I possibly done wrong?
