I send a note to SSEC to see if they could back fill their archive with corrected images and got the following reply: "We managed to recover the to the neartime directory, the goes8 and goes10 data that was lost over the weekend. Let us know if there are any anomallies." I sent this information to Dave D. who then noted: >From address@hidden Tue May 25 12:50:36 1999 Thanks--I got the same message and retrieved the missing images. Most of the images from 5/23, however, were not replaced and remain corrupted. I let them know that. I would guess that Dave's comment about corrupted images from May 23 are the same ones that you are showing in the list above. Since Dave let SSEC know about those images, it is possible (likely?) that they will back fill the archive with good images that span your need. If you are not already aware of this, I want to let you know that Unidata sites can access the data sent in the Unidata-Wisconsin datastream that has been archived at SSEC by following the instructions in: Unidata WWW HomePage http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/ Access to Archived Data http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/data/recovery.html Unidata-Wisconsin Archive http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/data/unirec.html The access information you will need is: machine: unidata.ssec.wisc.edu user: XXXXXX pass: XXXXXX directory: neartime - for recent images urequest - for images reloaded onto disk as per user requests > Thank You, I hope that this helps... > -Marek Kmiecik >```````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` >` Marek Kmiecik ` > >` Scientific Programmer ` >` State University of New York at Albany ` >` Center for Environmental Science & Technology Management ` >` Atmospheric Sciences Research Center ` >` ` >` 251 Fuller Rd. ` >` Albany, NY 12203 ` >` e-mail: address@hidden ` >` Tel: (518)437-8719 ` >` Fax: (518)437-8758 ` >` http://lunch.asrc.cestm.albany.edu/~marek ` >` ` >```````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` Tom Yoksas
