Robert,

re: ingebin.k dumps core in McIDAS-XCD 7.5 on Solaris x86 2.7
I troubleshot 'ingebin.k' this morning and found that the fix was the
reimplementation of our 7.40 changes to SSEC's 7.5x version of 'ingebin.pgm'.
The problem came down to attempting to flip bytes in an INTEGER that
had been declared in a PARAMETER statement. This is a no-no since the
value of the PARAMETER is supposed to be immutable.

I uploaded a fixed version of 'ingebin.pgm' to your Solaris x86 2.7 box
this morning and then rebuilt and installed 'ingebin.k'. I observed
~ldm/logs/ldmd.log until I was convinced that the segmentation violation
problem had been cleared up.

While I was at it, I took the liberty of uploading a new version of
'fousdisp.pgm'; rebuilding it; and reinstalling it. The mods in the
file are minor: I added plotting of obstruction to visibility (key
OBVS) to the station model PLOT.

Again, sorry for the problems and thanks for letting me use your machine
to do the troubleshooting.

Tom

No problem at all. Thanks for your efforts to keep me
going while you were looking for a fix.

As always the support from Unidata is great.
