[LDM #CZE-486853]: GFS grid question

The extended regular expressions in the above probably don't do what you think 
they do. Their ".*" prefix makes them pathological: they'll match exactly the 
same strings as expressions that don't have that prefix and some regular 
expression libraries will take an order of magnitude longer to match using such 
expressions. Also the "s*" and "S*" suffixes mean *zero* or more of the 
indicated character, so the expression will also match strings like "/gf/" or 
"/GF/".
