[LDM #RTQ-862032]: Internal Server to External issue

You can take comfort in the knowledge that others have had problems exactly
like yours in the past.  You are the only one that I can recall that 
had tried and succeeded in getting things to work (after a fashion) while
still using a DOS formatted LDM configuration file!
