To reference the specified portion of the LDM product-identifier, move the 
parentheses to the beginning and end, i.e.,

    EXP       (ABCdef[0-9][0-9].xyz)
    FILE        -close   -overwrite    /tmp/\1

To ensure that this matches the entire product-identifier, however, you should 
anchor the pattern with beginning-of-string and end-of-string meta-characters:

    EXP       ^(ABCdef[0-9][0-9].xyz)$
    FILE        -close   -overwrite    /tmp/\1
