[LDM #OHF-116108]: Head scratcher: pqact entry works on one server, doesn't on another

Hi Gilbert,

Hmm... I just logged onto weather3 as 'ldm', and went into the
~ldm/wsr88d directory to poke around. The first thing I saw was:

lrwxrwxrwx   1 ldm users       17 Aug 19  2015 wsr88d -> /home/data/wsr88d/

I removed this as it didn't look like it was needed.

I then tried to do a simple 'ls FTG' and it hung (or, at least, didn't return
with a listing in any sort of a reasonable amount of time. When I tried to
kill the 'ls' invocation, I got nothing, and the same thing happened when
I tried to background the 'ls'.

The next step was to kill my SSH session (from my side), and then log back
in (ldm on weather -> ldm on weather3). When I try to run 'ls' from
any one of the subdirectories of ~ldm/wsr88d, the invocation hangs.
I am not sure what is happening here!

But, the one thing I see that is different between weather and weather3
is that ~ldm/wsr88d on weather is a link to /home/data/wsr88d, but
~ldm/wsr88d on weather3 is a simple directory.

Question:

- is the setup for ~ldm/wsr88d supposed to be the same on weather and
  weather3?

If yes, then this may be your problem as it the setups are different.

Cheers,

Tom
