[LDM #OHF-116108]: Head scratcher: pqact entry works on one server, doesn't on another

Hi Gilbert,

I'm jumping in with an observation...

> On weather and
> weather3.admin.niu.edu, I have this entry in my pqact.conf:
>
> NEXRAD3 ^SDUS5. .... ([0-3][0-9])([0-2][0-9])([0-5][0-9]).*/p(N0Q)(...)
> FILE wsr88d/\5/(\1:yy)(\1:mm)\1\2\3.n0q
>
> Looks good, right?

Actually, the ~ldm/etc/pqact.conf file on weather has this action, but
the ~ldm/etc/pqact.conf file on weather had (had because I just changed
it):

NEXRAD3 ^SDUS5. .... ([0-3][0-9])([0-2][0-9])([0-5][0-9]).*/p(N0Q)(...)
     FILE -v wsr88d/\5/(\1:yy)(\1:mm)\1\2\3.n0q

The flag to the FILE action to force it to log is '-log':

http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/ldm/ldm-current/basics/pqact.conf.html

The impact of adding '-v' is that you have a '-v' directory in ~ldm:

/home/ldm% ls
ls: unparsable value for LS_COLORS environment variable
bin@ data/ decoders/ domestic@ etcbackup/ include@
    ldm-6.13.1/ ldm-mcidas/ mail/ mosaic/ niurad@ nsmail/
runtime@ Templates/ -v warnscripts/ ww-src/
check.log dcgrib2.log Desktop/ Download/ gempakscripts/ ldm-6.13.0/
    ldm-6.13.1.tar.gz lib@ make_index* Music/ nldn@ Pictures/
share@ usgln@ var/ web@ wxp/
crontabfile dcidft.log Documents/ etc/ hrs@
ldm-6.13.0.tar.gz ldmd.pid logs/ mcidas@ nexrad@
nowrad@ Public/ src@ util@ Videos/ wsr88d/ wxpscripts/

Removing the '-v' from the FILE action should now result in the N0Q
files to be written to the ~ldm/wsr88d directory, and that is a link
to /home/data/wsr88d/.

Cheers,

Tom
