Gilbert,
Assuming the LDM user uses the bash(1) shell, try changing the crontab(1) entry
to
4 1 * * * bash -l -c 'ldmadmin newlog'
This should result in an environment that's closer to executing "ldmadmin
newlog" from the command-line.
If the LDM user's shell isn't bash(1), then modify the crontab(1) entry as
appropriate.
> # Rotate LDM log files
> #
> 4 1 * * * /home/ldm/bin/ldmadmin newlog
