In the programming environment used to build the LDM, the "off_t" type (used to
set the size of the product-queue) isn't capacious enough to contain the value
4,000,000,000. The file "configure.log" contained this:

configure: Checking how to maximize the (long, void*, off_t)
                programming environment
checking if the system supports _XBS5_LPBIG_OFFBIG... no
checking if the system supports _XBS5_LP64_OFF64... no
checking if the system supports _XBS5_ILP32_OFFBIG... no
