Interesting. Apparently, the socket became invalid and caused a select(),
read(), or write() system-call to fail.

I've got another version for you that should fix the location of the error:

    ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/ldm/beta/ldm-6.4.6.2.tar.Z

I'd like to thank you for working with me on this.

Regards,
Steve Emmerson
