Hmm...  It didn't add the object-files in the rpc/ subdirectory to the
LDM library in the parent-directory.  Odd.

Would you please do the following:

    1.  Go to the top-level source-directory.

    2.  Remove the file "libldm.a"

    3.  Execute the command "make" -- redirecting both the
        standard output and error streams to the file "make.log".
    4.  Send me the file "make.log".
