Hi Gerry,

You can send real time stats back to Unidata and/or send them to a
machine of your choice (running the LDM, of course). All that is
needed to do this is to specify a different LDM host in the -h field of
rtstats 'exec' entry in ~ldm/etc/ldmd.conf. The LDM has a man page on
rtstats that will give the information you need.

The data is sent in the EXP feed type, and is simple ASCII text. So,
to get things going, I would add in sending of rtstats to a machine of
your choosing and then start looking at the data. What you do with it
will be up to your imagination. We write the data for all sites into a
netCDF file and then run cgi scripts to create plots of latency, etc.
on demand by the end user.

>Thanks, Gerry

No worries.

Cheers,

Tom

Thanks. I'll start that process today. I may have other questions, but
I may be able to handle things on my own!
