Joe,

>We are using LDM 6.1.0 and are having the following problem:
>
>Synoptic and Metar reports are coming in with day stamps of a date not
>yet occurring his month, from limited probably a report from last month.
>LDM generates a file with a time stamp that includes year, month, day
>and time. Since the report does not include month information LDM makes
>some assumptions which makes a file of a date that is in the future.

Yes. Instead of using the LDM's ability to guess the correct portion
of the date that is not contained in the product metadata, you could
instead send the product to a process that you create (script, program,
etc.) that does some QC and then files the data.

>The
>problem is when we process both synoptic and metar data these reports
>are in the data file, if no new report is made for the station it could
>be used. This introduces errors.
>Should we delete these "future" reports?

I would.

>Also, will LDM's future code handle these cases?

No. The main reason for this is that the LDM's primary job to move
data products from point-to-point. Processing the information within a
product is the job of a user's pqact.conf action.
