If you grabbed ldm-6.0.0.17 or ldm-6.0.0.18, you should drop back to
ldm-6.0.0.16.  17 had a configure problem tht 18 solved, but 18
introduced a problem with the ldm_version stuff.  Steve is working on a
new release candidate that should solve this and one more problem that
shows up on FreeBSD and OSF/1 (Tru64) systems.  Since he is sick,
however, I can't say when this may be available for testing.
