Re: 20020605: FIREWALL GUIDANCE

Subject: FIREWALL GUIDANCE
Organization: UCAR/Unidata

Hi Tom,

I am sorry for the late response, your e-mail slipped through....

It is desirable to have port 111 (portmapper) but not necessary.

In :

/etc/services

ldm 388/udp unidata # UCAR Unidata LDM
ldm 388/tcp unidata # UCAR Unidata LDM

Should be all that is required.

Thank you,

-Jeff
