[IDV #FQN-186711]: Fwd: Bonjour bonjour...perdu dans les archives des images GOES de CLASS...et incapable de les utiliser correctement dans IDV

Hi G,

First off, we are confused by your statement about a resolution of 8 bits vs. 16
bits per pixel. Usually, when people speak about bits per pixel it is about
tones available for a given color and not resolution. Is this a color rendering
problem and not about resolution?

At any rate, the best may be to upload sample files to

https://ramadda.unidata.ucar.edu/repository/alias/idvupload

I would suggest uploading the old CLASS files that were displaying according to
your expectations and the new GOES files that are having problems.

Best,

Unidata IDV Support
