[IDV #EHD-488664]: grids of wind vector plots with missing value flags

Robert,

What you did is fine and will work but can be a bit unwieldy as you point out.
You could have simply edited the file I attached earlier to point to the correct
grib file and it would have worked.

Again, if you can fix the problem in the original data, that would be best
especially now that you have a better understanding of the problem.

There are yet other ways to deal with this issue perhaps by creating a Jython
grid mask in the IDV if the other solutions are too cumbersome.
