[IDV #NTD-951399]: plotting ATOVS data in IDV
- Subject: [IDV #NTD-951399]: plotting ATOVS data in IDV
- Date: Wed, 20 Nov 2013 10:41:21 -0700
Dear Ms. Melnik,
It looks like there is a problem with both the Time coordinate as well as the
lat/lon coordinates. See
http://cf-pcmdi.llnl.gov/documents/cf-conventions/1.6/cf-conventions.html#idp5559280
regarding how to handle 2D lat / lon variables. Therein you will also find
information about how to handle the time coordinate.
To learn more about parameter aliases, please see
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/idv/docs/userguide/
Best Wishes,

> Dear support team,
> Thank you very much for your quick reply!
> Can you please explain what "your data are not CF compliant with respect to
> time" means for me when it comes to using IDV? The thing is that my NetCDF
> does not contain climate or forecast data - it's satellite obsevations data.
> And can you please explain what "you will have to create parameter aliases"
> means? Is it described in the IDV manual?
> When you manage to generate the Skew-T out of my NetCDF, please, do tell me
> how to do it!
> Thank you very much!
