[IDV #MRA-330537]: Inquiry about IDV

Greetings!

It would be helpful to see the configuration of the IDV. The easiest way to do
this
is to open the IDV (try with 4.1) and select "Help" -> "Support Request
Form..." and
submit a new request. The benefit is that we will get information regarding
your OS,
Java Version, as well as other IDV information, which can help us determine what
might be going on.

I've seen a problem similar to the one you describe on a Mac running Java 7. In
that
case, the user needed to install Java 6 and make a few edits to the runIDV
script to
ensure that the proper version of Java was being used. The IDV relies on Java
3D,
which isn't quite ready to use with Java 7.

Cheers!

Sean
