Brian,
     I fixed this bug. The problem is that there are two time dimensions in the 
GFS 1 degree dataset, and the IDV use the index for the time subset, the 
matching between index space and actual time didn't do the right matching. It 
should be fixed now. You need to download and install nightly tomorrow.
