[IDD #JFL-929851]: GLM lightning flash density

Hi,

No, but I can ask. What I can say is that the NOAA group that is creating
the Vlab images apparently adopted the code that Eric Bruning of TTU developed
to generate the TTU images you are using now; winnowed the number of variables
in the output files; decided to only make FullDisk coverages available; and
extended the products to GOES-West. It really should be the case that you
can switch from the TTU products to the Vlab products with not much effort
on your part. Also, the Level3 versions of the products might even serve
your purposes better than the TTU Level3 products you are using now. The only
way to tell if this is, in fact the case, is for you to give them a test
yourself.

Cheers,

Tom
