Hi Kevin,

No, fisica.ucr.ac.cr is not included in our current set of ALLOWs.
Here are the past UCR machines that are:

163.178.127.26 frankenstein.ucr.ac.cr
163.178.110.222 poseidon.fisica.ucr.ac.cr
200.9.33.37 cluster.fisica.ucr.ac.cr
200.9.33.42 idd.ucr.ac.cr

Is it possible to name your machine idd.ucr.ac.cr?

It might well be that the machine that was fisica previously never had
DNS and we created a /etc/hosts entry that defined its IP address
to resolve to idd.ucr.ac.cr (I have a vague memory of this being
the case). It is preferable for us if reverse DNS existed for
the eventual UCR machine so that we do not have to do things like
maintain fictitious IP <-> name mappings in the /etc/hosts files we
use on the real server backends of our IDD relay clusters,
idd.unidata.ucar.edu and iddb.unidata.ucar.edu.

Cheers,

Tom
