[IDDAntarctic #HUX-629476]: FW: CHS-LDM Rebuild

Hi again Cork,

I just noticed an email you sent to Unidata User Support. The config.log
file in that email was not zero length, so it did have information
that I needed. Here is the snippit that is important:

configure:1893: checking for ...-c89
configure:1920: result: /usr/gnu/bin/gcc
configure:1998: checking for C compiler version
configure:2006: /usr/gnu/bin/gcc --version >&5
./configure: line 2008: /usr/gnu/bin/gcc: No such file or directory

This indicates that your GNU C compiler was not properly installed/has
some installation issues.

What are the results of:

<as 'ldm'>
echo $PATH

which gcc

gcc --version

As soon as we get the C compiler issue cleaned-up, we should be
confronted with the byacc issue. For that, you will need to install
the byacc package:

<as 'root'>
yum install byacc

At least, the 'yum' approach is what we do for Fedora. RedHat
may have a slightly different approach for Enterprise.

Cheers,

Tom
