The above would be more simply and clearly written as

allow exp \.cct\.lsu\.edu$
allow exp|spare ^sasquatch\.tamu\.edu$
allow exp|spare ^dc-ldm2\.tamu\.edu$
allow exp ^sura-vims-pe6600-1\.vims\.edu$
allow exp ^eta\.marine\.unc\.edu$
Most of the beginning stuff is unnecessary, as is the "\.?" near
the end.
