Re: 20011126: CONDUIT/ECMWF data for European Center for Geodynamicsand Seismology

Hi Tonie,

I have checked the route to your machine from here, and it does not get to
green.ecgs.lu in a very timely manner, It is so slow, I am not confident
that the passing of large products (i.e. CONDUIT model output) will be
feasible. I am also not aware of what restrictions for re-distribution of
ECMWF within Europe may exist, but I believe it may be an issue (the data
is propriatary)

Below are the results of a traceroute from UCAR to your location, the hops
after 17 I suspect are internal, and behind a firewall, as they do not
resolve. Perhaps if green.ecgs was closer to the firewall it may create a
difference in trace time. The time to router.ecgs.lu (158.64.9.1) is
feasible...
