Paul,

Illinois provides a data recovery FTP for the IDD:
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/data/recovery.html

You can also FTP the ETA grids from NCEP:
ftp://ftp.ncep.noaa.gov/pub/data1/eta/erl.YYMMDD/

The 80km grids are named: eta.TxxZ.AWIP211xx.tm00
    40km grids are named: eta.TxxZ.AWIP3Dxx.tm00
    20km grids are named: eta.TxxZ.AWIP20xx.tm00
