Pete,

All looks good from this end. The allow command for "ANY" still exists on
thelma, and it appears as if we have a viable connection. Would you please
check to see if there is an "allow" command for "thelma.unidata.ucar.edu"
on sunset. I think there is not and therefore we cannot run our "notifyme"
command to investigate your machine further.

thelma:ldm) 130 % notifyme -vxl- -h sunset.meteor.wisc.edu
Mar 06 18:08:12 notifyme[167631]: Starting Up: sunset.meteor.wisc.edu:

Pete, I think this problem may have cropped up before and was resolved
with some network changes at your end. From our perspective, things should
be running....

Results from ldmping:

ldmping sunset.meteor.wisc.edu

rpc_stat
Mar 06 17:49:36 ADDRESSED 0.198755 0 sunset.meteor.wisc.edu

Pete, I am concerned with this indicating port "0".

This may be an issue.. The port should be 388, whereas this is indicating
port "0".

Could there be a rogue process still running, perhaps from a previous
restart, that is occupying the "0" port?

Ping stats look good:

----sunset.meteor.wisc.edu PING Statistics----
55 packets transmitted, 55 packets received, 0.0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max = 35.807/46.938/216.690 ms

Route looks good:

Hope this helps, let me know when you get an allow for "thelma".

Thanks,
