[GEMPAK #WFY-237676]: 20201007: Gempak

Hi,

re:

> subroutines.

I put together a compressed tar file that contains copies of the
original and modified versions of the routines that a developer
from NOAA/NCEP/NCO listed in an email that he CCed Unidata User
support on.

re:
> May I have a copy of that. It would save me a lot of work.

Sure. I put the compressed tar file out on our anonymous FTP
server a couple of minutes ago. Here are the particulars:

machine: ftp.unidata.ucar.edu
user: anonymous
pass: your_full_email_address
directory: pub/gempak/Y2K21
file: gempak_y2k21.tar.gz

The files in this tarball can be used to update a GEMPAK 7.5.1
source code installation as follows using 'wget'

<as 'gempak'>
cd ~gempak/NAWIPS
wget ftp.unidata.ucar.edu:pub/gempak/Y2K21/gempak_y2k21.tar.gz

tar xvzf gempak_y2k21.tar.gz
make
make install

re:

I worked with the GEMPAK 7.5.1 source release in creating the tarball
referenced above.

The modified routines are source files. We have not (and may not) updated
the RPM(s). Also, I have not included any routines committed to the GitHub
repository since the 7.5.1 source release was made.

re:

Do you have GEMPAK 7.5.1 installed as a source release? That is what
I based my code modifications on.

re:

There should be after we have worked through the process of transition
to full community support.

re:

No worries.

Please let us know (via a reply to this email, not to my private email)
how your installation of the new code goes.

Cheers,

Tom
