GEMPAK can use the Python DAF to display data from a remote EDEX server. Make
sure you install the package,

GEMPAK will need to be built against Python... the env vars needed for the
source build are included at the end of Gemenviron.profile and building GEMPAK
needs only the same "make everything" command as a normal build.
Then look at the XMl files in $GEMTBL/data-access/ and their corresponding
alias entries in datatype.tbl which start with "A2":
