20051006: 20051006: garp model vertical profiles/cross sections not working 5.8

Pete,

I'll throw those routines through the debugger, and see if anything
picky comes out. Are you able to run my Garp linux binary on your machine? 
I've verified that I can plot the cross section plots with it here.
We are running FC4.
