20050816: No model vertical graphics



Nancy,

The $MODEL_SND is only used for the BUFR format soundings that namsnd decodes. 
This is not involved with Garp in any way.

I'm assuming you are using the Garp from 5.8.3a as discussed previously.
The model cross setctions, profiles, and time hght process the same model
grid files as the plan view, eg $MODEL/eta, $MODEL/gfs, etc.

The selection widget for model vertical profile will have variables
grayed out for Type: skewt or stuve (since only tmpc and dwpc are valid
for those plots). Selecting Logarithmic or Linear activates the variable
selections. For model skewt/stuve in Garp, just select the times and
"Display".
