20040525: sncross help

Matt,

Your error message:
>The error message in the other window reads: data at each time is not in
>the file.

This means that your DATTIM variable is specifying a time range which
includes times that exist in your data file, but that do not include
the station which you are intending to plot.

For example, if you have a time range:
DATTIM=040401/0000-040430/1200
That will include all times in your data file from Apr 1 - Apr 30
(using DATTIM=list will show what times are in your data file).
If you station does not exist at one of the lines in that range,
it will generate your error message.

Typically, there are a very few stations that might take an off time
sounding at 18Z, 21Z, 3Z or example during severe weather, which
could add additional times to your range that you typically wouldn't have
ABQ available for example. A better time range spacification would be:
DATTIM=040401/0000-040430/1200-1200
for example to only look for standard soundings at 0Z or 12Z.

Another solution would be to create a new file with just the station you
want in it using SNMOD (with area=@ABQ for example to just copy that
station into the new file). In that way, you would only only have those times
in the data set where your station existed.
