20030708: opening files

Dusty,

Assuming you are working under your home directory, see if you
have the files last.nts and gemglb.nts. If you do, delete them
and they will be recreated by GEMPAK.

If you don't have them in the directory you launched the GEMPAK program from,
then likely you don't have write permission in that directory (also,
that means you don't want to be working in a CDROM directory!).

In a program like SNLIST, SFMAP, etc, you will specify the path to your file
in SFFILE or SNFILE. If your path is /c/data/surface/19990503_upa.gem,
then you would specify SNFILE=/c/data/surface/19990503_upa.gem
