That sounds like it has the flexibility to do what I want.  I wonder
why I went to all the trouble of building those drivers.

That's great news, since I didn't dare try to use the white bg drivers w/
garp or the n progs, so it sounds like ncolor will give us the same sort
of color customizability for the gui's that gpcolor does for the gempak
progs.

Well hopefully we won't need to create these duplicate drivers now since
presumably using gpcolor with the standard gif driver would work OK.  I'm
going to install the 5.6 now and we'll see if we can live without any
modifications.  Thanks again.
