no DIFAX

Looks like we have not been receiving any DIFAX from Alden
since 22Z on Saturday.
Can't ldmping thunder (or lightning). I get this:

portmapper: RPC_TIMED_OUT
However I can normal ping them just fine so the network and
machines are OK.
