Re: grib table Metéo-France (fwd)

Hello Robb,

The most comprehensive information is not available as files (internal data base), and associated text information is in french.

Could you precise:

-the scope/intended use ?
-what was the initial source(s) for previous local parameter tables ?

You will find attached an Excel file that describes our practices at least for operations, including information on local definitions for parameters/types of level, written in english. This is not exhaustive, but should cover the products made available in GTS (WMO) context.

Jean Clochard, Meteo France

Hi Jean,

I've been referred to you as a resource that you might be able to access the latest Grib parameter tables for the French Weather Service. The French tables that I current have are out of date and they can't decode some of the data that has been obtained from the French Weather Service. I appreciate your time, if you can't obtain the tables; can you pass this message onto someone who could help me.

Thanks,
Robb...

Hello Jerome and Robb (I don't have your e-mail),

My advice would be to contact Jean Clochard (address@hidden) who is head of the IT services in Météo France.

Anne.
