NEXRAD Level II Maintenance Notification - (Saturday 10/17/2020) (RDS ) (2 of 2)

Radar Operation Center (ROC) will be performing Software Upgrades which will affect the data flow of the Level II Network RDS (Public) path.  The activity is a software upgrade on the ROC facility networking which support National Level II (NL2) servers.
  •  Start Time: 9:00 AM (Central time) Saturday Oct 17th, 2020
  •  Duration: 6 Hours
  •  Event: ROC Network Software Upgrade
The activity will take about 6 hours to complete and will impact Data flow of the "Norman/RDS Level II Path" (Possibly multiple times) for up to 15 minutes during that window.
 The Data Path via Silver Spring NL2 servers is not part of this activity. (No service interruption via TDS path is anticipated.)

Please keep BOTH NL2 connections (Silver Spring & Norman) up to avoid data flow interruption.

National Level II (NL2) on weather.gov is available.

  • NEXRAD View - WSR-88D monitoring by site location
  • SPG View - TDWR Status via the NWS SPG
  • SERVER View - NL2 server & Network status (Shows site connectivity AND Silver Spring vs Norman Data flow)
  • CONTROL View - Shows data latency for each NL2 server
  • LDM View - Level II Data flow from site
  • NPN View - Shows FSL2 data from the NOAA Profiler Network
