Hi Jim and Brendon,

OK, I am in the process of copying the past 30 days of Unidata-Wisconsin imagery
from one of our motherlode class machines to idd.ssec.wisc.edu. After the
imagery are copied (this will take a bit time to move the 73 GB), I will have
to process the images (which are in the PNG compressed AREA format) through the
ldm-mcidas "decoder" 'pnga2area' and write them to subdirectories of
/data/idd_ARCHIVE/neartime
using the naming convention described in:

http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/data/unirec.html

At the same time, our web person will be working on turning on the web access
that you have been used to using, http://idd.ssec.wisc.edu

The 30 days of data that I am in the process of copying should cover all of
these
days.

Cheers,

Tom
