Hi Taleena,
I apologize for taking so long to get back to you on your inquiry! This
was certainly not intentional!!

There are GOES-East and GOES-West sectors that were sent to the Unidata
IDD community in our Internet Data Distribution (IDD) system in an archive
maintained at the Space Science and Engineering Center (SSEC) at the
University of Wisconsin at Madison, but I am not sure if the archive goes
all the way back to 1991. Your best bet is to follow the instructions
in:
Unidata HomePage
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu
Data
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/data
Archived Data Access
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/data/#archived
UNIWISC IDD Datastream
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/data/unirec.html
As you will see, you will need to send an email request for the time
period that you are interested in. The folks at UW/SSEC will pull the
images out of a long term archive (assuming, of course, that they are
actually in the archive) and stage them back to a machine where you will
be able to access them via the web. Once the images are staged back on
to disk, you should be able to access them at:
http://idd.ssec.wisc.edu
The relevant link on that site will be:
Unidata-Wisconsin satellite image archives
Access to this is password protected; here are the needed credentials:
user: xxxxx
pass: xxxxx
If the images you are looking for are _not_ available in the Unidata-Wisconsin
archive, you will need to sign-up for access to the full archive maintained
by the SSEC Data Center as it should contain what you need/want. I think we
should cover how you would sign-up for that access after you have checked
with the SSEC Data Center folks to see if the Unidata-Wisconsin archive has
what you need/want.
Again, I apologize for taking _so_ long to get back to you!
Cheers,
Tom
